2022 New Scholarships: Women in Aviation

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Sunday, January 16th, 2022 by Midnight

WAINTX is proud to offer EIGHT scholarships this year to our members! General information is available below, with full details and applications available at the links provided.

General Rules:

  • Applications must be received no later than Sunday, January 16, 2022 at midnight.

  • Applicant must be an active member of Women in Aviation International AND the Women in Aviation North Texas Chapter to win.

  • Members of the WAI North Texas Chapter Scholarship Subcommittee or their families are not eligible for application or award of these scholarships.

Conference Scholarships

We are offering FOUR scholarships to attend the 2022 International Women in Aviation Conference! This year's event will take place in Nashville, TN from March 17-19, 2022. 

Winners of this scholarship will receive:

  • One full conference registration.

  • Hotel room at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center (Note: hotel room will be shared with same-sex WAINTX chapter scholarship winner).

  • $300.00 voucher to be used towards air travel and incidentals.

Education/Training Scholarships

In proud partnership with our sponsors, we are offering FOUR scholarships for education and flight training!

Sponsored scholarships include:

  • AIRBUS: Two $1,000 education/training scholarships

  • NATCA: One $1,000 education/training scholarship

  • US AVIATION ACADEMY: One Private Pilot Ground School Course

AIRBUS and NATCA Scholarship: the money will be paid directly to the educational institution/training facility of the scholarship winners or to the winner’s credit source to assist the winner in paying down debt incurred in their school or training.

US Aviation Academy Scholarship: The Private Pilot Ground School course is offered at US Aviation Academy's Denton location. The ground school is a 40-hour course and will be completed weekdays for two hours per day for one month. It will be valid for all of 2022.
