An exciting FREE* event for girls 8-18 (and their chaperones)!

Join Women in Aviation’s North Texas Chapter for #GIAD21 at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center for a fun, informative day with professionals and exhibitors from all corners of the aviation world.

  • Unique tracks for younger girls and older girls

  • Interactive learning stations, talk to a pilot, mentoring by aviation professionals, and so much more!

All volunteers and exhibitors will be required to wear masks when not eating or drinking. Attendees will be encouraged to wear masks while at the event. WAINTX will provide masks at no charge. Doors will be open, if possible, for increased airflow. Specialized air filtration systems will be operating in select areas of the facility.

About Girls in Aviation Day

The North Texas Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) will be hosting its 6th Annual Girls in Aviation Day. Entrance to the event includes aviation-themed activities, giveaways, and keynote speakers. Guests will have the opportunity to talk to women in various fields of aviation and aerospace, including pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, airport managers, business owners, and more.

Exciting hands-on activities, such as flight simulators, build-a-helicopter, aviation phonetics, a scavenger hunt through the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center, and more will also be available. NEW for 2021! High school girls will enjoy a special program with advanced activities and career workshops.

Limited quantities of Girls in Aviation Day backpacks, Aviation for Girls magazines, and other materials will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you attended our event in years past, we encourage you to wear your Girls in Aviation Day T-shirt or they will be available for a suggested $20 donation.

Space is limited for keynote speaker(s) and flight simulator slots. Passes will be available onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis.
