About Girls in Aviation Day
WAI-NTX hosts an Annual Girls in Aviation Day every year. This event features aviation-themed activities, giveaways, and keynote speakers. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with women from various fields in aviation and aerospace, including pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, airport managers, business owners, and more.
Activities include flight simulators, a helicopter-building station, aviation phonetics, a scavenger hunt, and additional fun experiences! High school girls will have access to a special program that includes advanced activities and career workshops.
Girls in Aviation Day backpacks, Aviation for Girls magazines, and other exciting goodies. If you've attended our event in the past, we encourage you to wear your Girls in Aviation Day T-shirt, or you can purchase one for a suggested donation of $20.
Location
The Dallas Girls in Aviation Day has been hosted at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center for the past several years.

Volunteer opportunites at Girls in Aviation Day
Volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated to help make our annual Girls in Aviation Day a resounding success! Volunteer roles include assisting with activities, ramp operations, parking, registration, food services, merchandise, and more.
All volunteers will receive breakfast, coffee, lunch, snacks, and a volunteer shirt on the day of the event! By volunteering, you will enjoy a day dedicated to aviation alongside girls and families of all ages. This includes fun activities, educational opportunities, and a wonderful chance to give back to the community!
Exhibit at Girls in Aviation Day
Every year, we feature an incredible lineup of organizations at Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD)! We are excited to collaborate with exhibitors from diverse aviation backgrounds and specialties.
In 2024, we expect over 900 attendees and volunteers, making this year's event a fantastic opportunity to support the DFW community, connect with current and future aviators, and, of course, have fun!
