About Girls in Aviation Day
WAI-NTX will be hosting its Annual Girls in Aviation Day again this year! The entry ticket includes aviation-themed activities, giveaways, and keynote speakers. Guests will have the opportunity to talk to women in various aviation and aerospace fields, including pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, airport managers, business owners, and more.

Activities include flight simulators, build-a-helicopter, aviation phonetics, a scavenger hunt, and more! High school girls will enjoy a special program with advanced activities and career workshops.
​
Girls in Aviation Day backpacks, Aviation for Girls magazines, and other goodies will be available while supplies last. If you attended our event in years past, we encourage you to wear your Girls in Aviation Day T-shirt, or they will be available for a suggested $20 donation.
​
Space is limited for certain activities, including flight simulator slots. Passes will be available onsite on a first-come, first-served basis.

Volunteer at Girls in Aviation Day
Volunteers are always needed and appreciated to make our annual Girls in Aviation Day a huge success! Volunteers will be given breakfast, coffee, lunch, snacks, and a volunteer shirt on GIAD! As a volunteer, you will enjoy a day all about aviation with girls & families of all ages, including fun activities, opportunities for education and experience, and a chance to give back to the community!

Volunteers will be needed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th (GIAD), and are encouraged to attend set-up day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, October 10th.
