2023 Scholarships
WAI North Texas Chapter

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Sunday, January 6th, 2023 by Midnight

WAI-NTX is proud to offer ELEVEN Scholarships this year to our members! General information is available below, with full details and applications available at the links provided.

General Rules:

Applications must be received no later than Sunday, January 6, 2023 at midnight.
Applicant must be an active member of Women in Aviation International and the Women in Aviation North Texas Chapter to be considered.
Members of the WAI North Texas Chapter Scholarship Committee and their families are not eligible for application or award of these scholarships.

Conference Scholarships

We are offering FOUR Scholarships to attend the 2023 Women in Aviation International Conference! This year's event will take place in Long Beach, CA from February 23-25, 2023.

Winners of this scholarship will receive:

One full conference registration.
Hotel room at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach (Note: hotel room will be shared with same-sex WAINTX chapter scholarship winner).
$300 voucher to be used towards air travel and incidentals.

Note for applicants under the age of 18: if you win a conference scholarship, a parent or legal guardian will need to accompany you at their own expense.

Education & Training Scholarships

In proud partnership with our sponsors, we are offering SEVEN Scholarships for education and flight training.

The funds will be paid directly to the educational institution/training facility of the scholarship winner or to the winner’s credit source to assist the winner in paying down debt incurred in their school or training.

Sponsored scholarships include:

Airbus: One $2,000 education/training scholarship
American Airlines: One $2,000 education/training scholarship
Collins: One $2,000 education/training scholarship
Million Air: One $2,000 education/training scholarship
Aero Capital Solutions: One $1,000 education/training scholarship
Addison Airport: One $1,000 education/training scholarship
NATCA: One $1,000 education/training scholarship

APPLY FOR EDUCATION/TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

Ground School Scholarship

In proud partnership with US Aviation Academy, we are offering ONE Scholarship for a private pilot, instrument, or commercial ground school course.

The ground school is located at US Aviation Academy's Denton location. The 40-hour course must be completed on weekdays for two hours per day for one month. The scholarship will be valid for all of 2023 and courses are available every month.
